The different towns and villages in Turkey each have a number of festivals during the year that are definitely worth visiting.

The international convention in Izmir, from the end of August to the end of September is probably the largest of these. There are a range of attractions, from modern cultural exhibitions to traditional dance and music shows.

Turkey has a huge number of historical buildings and a number of these are often used for entertainment. April and May sees a large culture festival in Ephesus that attracts scores of visitors. In the summer there are a variety of events held in the ancient ruins of the city.

There are different cultural events and festivals during the year in the villages in the direct vicinity of the marina.
