The Harbour is downwind from a peninsula that protects it in bad weather conditions. Effort has been made to keep the facilities practical to make boarding and sailing as simple as possible.
All the facilities were designed in cooperation with experienced sailors, who understand the criteria of a good harbour. For example, the offices for the harbour master and customs have been placed at the end of the breakwaters, to minimize delays in arrival and departure; also, parking spaces for yacht owners are on the breakwaters, as close to the boat as possible.
